Walking Toward the Light | Xisenmeike Officially Joins the Solar Thermal Energy Alliance

Jul 24,2026

Recently, Guangzhou Xisenmeike New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. officially joined the Solar Thermal Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (referred to as the “Solar Thermal Alliance”), becoming a new member of this industry consortium.

This not only reflects the industry’s recognition of Xisenmeike’s technological prowess, but also marks a more solid step forward for us in the new‑energy sectors of solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies.

Looking ahead, Xisenmeike will leverage the alliance platform to engage in in-depth exchanges and collaborations with upstream and downstream enterprises, research institutes, and industry experts, jointly exploring additional application scenarios for functional nanocoatings in the solar‑energy generation sector.

It provides new solutions for long-term protection of power plant equipment, reducing operation and maintenance costs, and improving power generation efficiency.

A thin coating to solve the challenges of power plant operations and maintenance.

How can solar power generation systems be made easier to clean, more durable, and require less maintenance? This has long been a challenge that Hysun Mec has been striving to solve.

Dust, sand particles, bird droppings, cement dust, and other contaminants continuously degrade photovoltaic modules and concentrating mirror surfaces, reducing light transmittance and operational efficiency. Particularly in challenging environments such as Gobi deserts, industrial parks, or rooftops of commercial and industrial buildings, equipment surfaces are prone to repeated dust accumulation and persistent fouling. Frequent cleaning not only consumes substantial manpower and water resources but also drives up O&M costs and increases the complexity of maintenance operations.

To address these pain points, Hesinmeike has continuously invested in the R&D and industrialization of functional nano‑coatings for new energy applications, developing a range of technological solutions—including superhydrophilic and superhydrophobic coatings—tailored to diverse regional environments, pollution types, and equipment operating conditions. By precisely controlling the micro‑ and nano‑structures on the material’s surface, our coatings significantly reduce the adhesion of contaminants such as dust and oil, enabling them to be easily removed by natural rainfall or simple rinsing. This markedly decreases cleaning frequency, helping equipment maintain optimal light transmittance and operational efficiency over the long term. Meanwhile, to withstand harsh outdoor conditions—including high temperatures, intense UV radiation, windblown sand, acid rain, and salt spray—we continually enhance the coatings’ weather resistance and stability, providing new‑energy equipment with durable, reliable surface protection.

Real-world projects demonstrate technical expertise.

The value of a new technology must be validated through real-world projects. At present, our nano-coating solution has been successfully deployed in a variety of challenging environments—such as Gobi deserts, tidal flats, industrial parks, and commercial‑industrial rooftops—for renewable energy power plants, and we have developed tailored solutions to address diverse pollution challenges.

Gobi Desert scene: In the high-wind and sand‑prone regions of the Northwest Gobi, Hysun Mec has developed a customized nano‑coating tailored to the area’s extreme solar irradiance and wind‑blown sand conditions, reducing dust adhesion on module surfaces. Fine particulate matter is more easily swept away by wind or washed off by rain, significantly minimizing power‑generation losses caused by soiling and lowering the workload associated with cleaning. The coating withstands severe diurnal temperature swings and maintains its integrity over long-term use—without peeling or yellowing—ensuring stable, reliable operation of the solar plant.

High-incidence scenarios for bird droppings: In areas with high bird activity, photovoltaic modules are often obscured and corroded by bird droppings, which can even lead to localized hot‑spot damage. To address this challenge, we have developed an easy‑to‑clean photocatalytic protective coating that significantly reduces the adhesion of biofouling such as bird droppings, allowing it to be removed naturally by rainfall or with a simple rinse. Field tests have demonstrated that this solution effectively prevents corrosion caused by bird droppings and mitigates the risk of hot spots, ensuring the power plant’s continuous, safe, and efficient operation.

Industrial dust scenarios: On commercial and industrial rooftop solar installations located near pollution sources such as cement plants and chemical factories, the module surfaces often accumulate stubborn residues like cement dust and industrial oil stains, making cleaning difficult and leading to a noticeable decline in light transmittance. To address this challenge, we have developed a custom‑designed, easy‑to‑clean anti‑fouling coating that significantly reduces the adhesion of dust and oily contaminants to the module glass. This enables everyday dirt and grime to be rinsed away with minimal effort, effectively resolving the longstanding operational pain points of severe soiling, difficult cleaning, and excessive water consumption, thereby helping rooftop solar systems maintain high power‑generation efficiency over the long term.

To date, Xisenmeike has accumulated over 600,000 square meters of nano-coating applications on new‑energy power stations. Our products and construction processes have been rigorously tested under a wide range of challenging operating conditions, demonstrating outstanding stability and adaptability.

From photovoltaics to solar thermal, expanding the scope of applications.

For Hysun Mec, joining the Solar Thermal Alliance represents a significant step in expanding the frontiers of new‑energy applications. Similar to photovoltaic modules, the mirror fields and associated equipment of solar‑thermal power plants are also exposed outdoors for extended periods. Accumulation of dust and the adhesion of contaminants on the mirror surfaces—along with the resulting decline in reflectivity—can increase operational and maintenance burdens and compromise the plant’s long‑term, high‑efficiency performance.

Looking ahead, we will leverage our expertise in surface‑functional materials, protection against harsh environments, and on‑site construction to collaborate with alliance partners in thoroughly exploring the application potential of nano‑coatings for self‑cleaning of concentrating‑mirror surfaces, maintaining reflectance, cooling component surfaces, and safeguarding critical components. We will also extend the technical know-how we have accumulated in the photovoltaic sector to the concentrated solar power field, providing more comprehensive surface‑protection solutions for diverse types of solar‑energy projects.

Rooted in R&D, advancing hand-in-hand with the industry.

For many years, Hesinmeike has consistently prioritized both research and development and practical application, advancing innovation in tandem with real-world implementation. Relying on a high-caliber R&D team, we continuously refine our nanocoating material technologies and collaborate with research institutions such as the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences to conduct joint industry–university–research initiatives, accelerating the translation of scientific breakthroughs into marketable products and engineering applications. In terms of industry standardization, we actively participate in the formulation of standards related to new‑energy materials and nanocoatings, thereby further harmonizing product specifications, construction processes, and project acceptance criteria.

Upon joining the alliance, Hysenmec will engage more actively in its technical seminars, industry exchanges, and standards‑setting initiatives, working hand in hand with member organizations to address common industry challenges such as module soiling, efficiency degradation, and high O&M costs—collaboratively tackling these issues and jointly seeking viable solutions. For Hysenmec, membership in the alliance is both an honor and a responsibility. Looking ahead, we will continue to deepen our expertise in functional nanocoating materials and application‑specific solutions, embracing industry collaboration with an open mindset, responding to market needs through sustained innovation, and ensuring that every ultra‑thin nanocoating delivers tangible value to new‑energy equipment.
