For hydrophilic, oleophilic, easy-to-clean, and anti-fouling treatments on metal surfaces such as stainless steel.

Product Description

Easy-to-clean, long-lasting hydrophilic and oleophilic nano-coating (for metals only)

[Product Code] YCP0086

[Product Features]

The easy-to-clean, long-lasting hydrophilic and oleophilic nano-coating is a single-component, long-lasting, easy-to-clean hydrophilic and oleophilic nano-coating that utilizes nanotechnology to form a three-dimensional network. After curing, the coating consists entirely of inorganic materials and boasts high hardness (9H), hydrophilicity and oleophilicity, as well as excellent anti-fouling performance. It also features easy-clean properties—oil stains and grime on the surface can be effortlessly wiped away once moistened with water, without the need for detergents. Surfaces treated with this nano-coating can have stubborn oil stains easily removed simply by rinsing with clean water, making daily cleaning a breeze for household users and eliminating the hassle of dealing with thick layers of grease. Moreover, this coating enhances the protection, wear resistance, and anti-fouling performance of stainless steel.

1. Cures at medium temperature, with a coating hardness reaching 9H-10H.

2. Easy to clean—surface dirt can be easily wiped away.

3. Excellent resistance to acid and alkali corrosion

4. Resistant to various household detergents

5. Excellent stain resistance and superior abrasion resistance

6. Possesses excellent hydrophilicity and lipophilicity.

7. Can withstand temperatures up to 400 degrees.

[Construction Method]

           Construction process:

Construction Notes:

1. Ultrasonic cleaning (using Hysen-Mic cleaning solution) — Rinse with tap water (3 steps) — Rinse with pure water or deionized water (3 steps) — Dry with cold air.

2. After cleaning, the surface of the workpiece should allow water droplets to spread naturally upon contact, exhibiting a hydrophilic character. This indicates that the cleaning process has been thoroughly completed. The cleaned surface should be promptly coated (the optimal time between cleaning and drying and coating should not exceed 30 minutes) to prevent dust from reattaching, which could cause the surface to regain its hydrophobic properties and lead to coating defects.

3. Spray the workpiece and manually inspect it for any spraying defects (primarily those caused by inadequate cleaning). If defects are found, remove the defective workpiece and perform pre-treatment again.

4. After spraying, the workpiece is passed through the baking line, with the furnace temperature maintained at 70℃ (the actual workpiece temperature is around 50℃). Bake for 10 minutes, then continue passing through the baking line, with the furnace temperature controlled between 200 and 205℃ (the actual workpiece temperature is around 180℃). The actual temperature curve is monitored using a four-channel furnace temperature tester, and baking continues for another 30 minutes.

5. Remove the workpiece from the line and package it.

6. The construction environment must be dust-free and equipped with ventilation systems or corresponding air-dust removal equipment to ensure construction quality.

7. Spray gun: Choose a Japanese water-based spray gun, model number LPH-101 by Iwata, Japan. Spray pressure: 0.6–0.8 MPa; spraying distance: 15–25 cm; recommended wet film thickness: 3–5 microns; dry film thickness: 1–2 microns; application temperature: 10–30 °C; relative humidity: 45%–75%.

8. The cleanliness of the spray booth shall be at or below Class 10,000, meaning that the number of dust particles with a particle size ≥ 0.5 μm per cubic foot shall be less than 10,000.

9. The cleanliness of the leveling zone and baking zone shall be within Class 100,000, meaning that the number of particles with a particle size ≥ 0.5 μm per cubic foot shall be less than 100,000.

Set up a line inspection node during the spraying process.

Node 1: After the workpiece to be sprayed has undergone pretreatment and been dried by cold air, inspect its surface for residual contaminants such as adhesive residue, water marks, and assess the surface’s hydrophilicity.

Node 2: The workpiece to be coated enters the spray booth for spraying. After spraying is completed, it undergoes a pre-baking process for 10 minutes, followed by an inspection to check whether the workpiece surface has any missed spots, particles, or stains.

Node 3: After the workpiece passes through the curing oven, the finished product is removed from the line. The surface appearance and coating performance of the workpiece are then inspected (sampling inspection).
