After curing, the coating exhibits excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic properties as well as strong anti-fouling capabilities. It effectively prevents contaminants such as dust, oil stains, and bird droppings from adhering to the surface, thereby keeping the billboard clean. In addition, the coating boasts outstanding weather resistance and UV resistance, enabling it to withstand various environmental factors with ease. Even under extreme climatic conditions, it maintains long-term stable performance, extending the service life of billboards and reducing maintenance and operational costs. By continuously providing highly effective protection, this coating not only enhances the visual appeal of billboards but also improves their ease of use.
◼ Excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic properties: The coated surface features low surface energy and a water contact angle greater than 105°, effectively preventing the adhesion of contaminants such as dust, oil stains, and bird droppings, thus keeping the billboard surface clean.
◼ Powerful anti-fouling performance: The coating prevents the accumulation of pollutants, reduces cleaning frequency, and lowers operation and maintenance costs.
◼ Weather Resistance and UV Resistance: The coating can withstand various environmental factors, maintaining stable performance over the long term and continuing to perform exceptionally even under extreme climatic conditions.
◼ Extend service life: By preventing the accumulation of contaminants and reducing damage, extend the lifespan of billboards and reduce the need for frequent replacements or maintenance.
◼ Enhancing Visual Appeal and Convenience: The coating not only improves the visual appearance of billboards but also enhances ease of use, ensuring that billboards remain clean and attractive over the long term.
Ⅲ Applicable Materials
➢ Metal materials: such as aluminum alloy, steel plate, galvanized steel plate, etc., can effectively resist corrosion and provide protection, thereby extending the service life of billboards.
➢ Glass material: Suitable for various types of advertising glass panels, it keeps the surface clean, reduces pollutant buildup, enhances light transmittance, and ensures the visibility of advertising content.
➢ Acrylic material: The coating forms an effective protective layer on the surface of acrylic advertising boards, enhancing their resistance to stains and extending the material's service life.
➢ Plastic Material: Suitable for billboards made of plastics such as ABS and PVC, offering anti-fouling and waterproof features, enhancing surface strength, and improving resistance to aging.
➢ Ceramic/Ceramic Coating Material: Suitable for ceramic advertising signs with high hardness, the coating provides long-lasting protection, preventing surface scratches and the adhesion of dirt and grime.
Ⅳ Curing Method
YCP0049 offers flexible curing methods, allowing you to select the appropriate curing approach based on different application environments and construction requirements.
➢ Room-temperature curing: The coating cures at room temperature and achieves full curing within 72 hours, ensuring stable coating performance and making it suitable for most conventional environments.
➢ Low-temperature curing: Alternatively, you can cure at 80℃ for 1 hour and then allow the material to undergo natural curing for 12 hours. This method is suitable for materials or environments that are not conducive to high temperatures.
➢ High-temperature curing: For coatings requiring higher strength, a curing temperature of 180℃ for 30 minutes can be selected, making it suitable for applications that demand rapid curing.
All of the above curing methods can ensure complete coating cure, providing optimal protective performance and long-lasting self-cleaning effects.
V. Scope of Application
YCP0049 is widely used in various outdoor advertising facilities, signage, and display screens—particularly in advertising equipment exposed for long periods to harsh environments. Specific application areas include:
➢ Power Facility Signboards: Signboards suitable for the power industry—such as those used in environments like power companies, power plants, and substations—prevent dust and pollutant buildup, ensuring long-term cleanliness and visibility of the signboards.
➢ Outdoor billboards: Suitable for large-scale billboards, advertising walls, and roadside advertisements, these can effectively prevent pollutants such as dust, bird droppings, and oil stains from adhering to the surface, thereby reducing the frequency of cleaning and maintenance.
➢ LED display: The coating effectively prevents the accumulation of contaminants such as oil stains, dust, and grime on the display surface, maintaining the display’s clarity and brightness.
➢ Traffic signs: Used for traffic signs, road markers, and the like, these signs protect their surfaces from pollutants and weather effects, ensuring long-term readability and visual appeal.
➢ Shopping Mall and Building Advertising: Advertisements such as billboards, display boards, and decorative signs suitable for commercial venues like shopping malls and shopping centers, enhancing the cleanliness and visual appeal of advertising displays.
➢ Other outdoor facilities—such as park advertisements, stadium advertisements, station advertisements, and any other outdoor advertising installations that require anti-pollution properties and easy cleaning—can all benefit from this coating.
This coating is particularly well-suited for advertising installations exposed long-term to harsh outdoor conditions such as sunlight, wind and sand, rain, and ultraviolet radiation. It can significantly enhance the durability, cleanability, and maintenance efficiency of billboards.
VI Technical Parameters
VII Construction method
1. Surface Preparation
➢ Ensure that the billboard surface is clean and free of contaminants. Before construction begins, the billboard surface must be thoroughly cleaned to remove oil stains, dust, bird droppings, and other contaminants.
➢ Clean the surface using deionized water or anhydrous ethanol.
➢ Use a clean, dust-free cloth to wipe the surface of the billboard, ensuring that no residual impurities remain.
➢ For stubborn stains, you can use a specialized cleaning agent for treatment.
2. Coating application
➢ The coating can be applied by spraying, brushing, or rolling. Spraying is recommended to ensure uniform coverage of the coating.
➢ Spraying method: Use high-precision spraying equipment to ensure uniform spray coverage and prevent dripping and uneven coating thickness.
➢ The distance between the nozzle and the surface should be 15–20 cm to ensure even coating coverage.
➢ Brushing and Roller Coating Methods: For small areas or special locations, you can apply the coating using a brush or roller, ensuring that every part is evenly covered.
➢ During coating, apply evenly, avoiding areas with missed coats or overcoats.
3. Curing Process
➢ After the coating is applied, it must be cured to ensure optimal performance. You may choose any one of the following curing methods:
Room-temperature curing: Cure at room temperature for 72 hours to ensure the coating is fully cured and achieves its maximum performance.
Low-temperature curing: Place the coating at 80℃ for 1 hour of curing, then allow it to cure naturally for 12 hours. This method is suitable for temperature-sensitive materials.
High-temperature curing: Place the coating in an environment at 180℃ and cure for 30 minutes, suitable for applications requiring rapid curing.
4. Quality Inspection
➢ After construction is completed, a quality inspection of the coating should be carried out to ensure that the coating is uniform and meets the technical requirements.
➢ Coating thickness: Use a coating thickness gauge to check the coating thickness and ensure it meets the required range of 5–15 μm.
➢ Uniformity Check: Verify that the coating surface is uniform, with no areas left uncoated or bubbles present.
➢ Cleanliness: Ensure that the coated surface is free of any contaminants.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
➢ After the coating has cured, the surface can be put into use; however, before curing is complete, avoid contact with water or contaminants.
➢ Regularly wipe the surface gently with anhydrous ethanol or a cleaning agent to ensure that the coating effect lasts for a long time.
