Longmen Industrial Park Longjiang Area High-Voltage Line Relocation and Protection Project
Due to the development plan of the Longjiang area in Longmen Industrial Park, a high-voltage line relocation project is required. This project covers both the main network and the distribution network. The main network requires the construction of 3 new high-voltage guy wires, 10 towers, and 2 km of 35kV single-circuit overhead lines and ground wires, as well as the removal of 3 km of conductors and ground wires and 11 poles. The distribution network part involves installing 3 outdoor 10kV automation boxes, laying a total of 3,821 meters of 10kV power cables, constructing 5 new double-circuit towers, building numerous cable trenches, pipe jacking, and cable wells, and dismantling some existing line facilities. Additionally, the area experiences variable climate conditions, with hot and rainy summers, frequent strong convective weather, and relatively humid winters. The newly built transmission lines face severe environmental challenges, being prone to lightning strikes, rain erosion, and pollution flashover, which affect the safe and stable operation of the lines.
Hisenmec has developed a comprehensive solution tailored to the complex conditions of this project. For the towers and conductors of the overhead lines, a nano-coating with lightning protection and anti-corrosion properties was applied. This coating enhances the insulation performance of the conductors and towers, effectively reducing the risk of lightning damage to the lines. At the same time, special components in the coating resist erosion from rainwater and corrosive substances in the air, extending the service life of the line equipment. Regarding cable laying, in addition to selecting high-quality cable materials, the outer protective layer of the cables was treated with a nano-coating to enhance corrosion resistance in the moist soil environment. For the outdoor 10kV automation boxes, a nano-coating with self-cleaning and antibacterial functions was used to prevent dust, dirt, and other contaminants from adhering to the box surface, avoiding electrical faults caused by dust accumulation, while also killing surface bacteria to ensure a clean operating environment for the equipment.
During the project implementation phase, Hisenmec's technical staff participated throughout to provide guidance. Before installing the towers and conductors, their surfaces were pre-treated and then sprayed with the nano-coating to ensure adhesion and protective effectiveness. During cable laying, strict quality control was maintained over the construction of the nano-coated protective layer cables to prevent damage. After installing the automation boxes, detailed nano-coating spraying was performed on the box surfaces. After the project was completed and put into operation, a six-month observation period under multiple severe weather conditions showed that the transmission lines operated stably without faults caused by lightning strikes, corrosion, or pollution flashover. This effectively ensured the power supply for the Longjiang area of Longmen Industrial Park, providing reliable electrical support for the park's construction and development, and received high recognition from the project stakeholders.
